The building will be located in the up-town Ala Moana area located on the ewa/west side of Sams Club and Walmart located on Keeaumoku. The project will feature 3 ground commercial retail spaces, and will have 184 units for sale. There will also be a affordable housing component for Hawaii City Plaza on floors 7 through 10. However, it is unclear at this moment whether it will be affordable rentals or affordable units for sale. Owner Occupant Sales will be by lottery for 74 out of 184 units. Hawaii City Plaza will have a total of 184 units. There will be one-bedrooms/one-bath, and two-bedroom/two-bath units. The ground floor will have 3 commercial retail spots with parking from floors 2-5. The affordable housing units will be on floors 7-10 and the residential market units will be on floors 11-27 (there will be no 13th floor). Hawaii City Plaza will feature floor to ceiling windows, lanais in every unit, and acrylic or wood grain cabinets. Upon selecting a unit, you would be able to pick 1 of 3 different kitchen styles and mix and match the countertops and cabinets. The flooring will also be able to be customized and you can choose luxury vinyl tile or hardwood. The bedrooms will be one of two different colored carpets. And floor plans A and B will have a kitchen island.
Hawaii City Plaza will have an array of amenities on the 6th floor of the building for all to use. There will be a swimming pool, owner's activity center, gym, a small movie theater, 4 cabanas, 3 BBQ areas, and various children's activities and play areas with outdoor seating. There will also be a dog park as the building will be pet friendly for 2 pets up to 50lbs. The building will have 9 guest stalls and 19 stalls for the commercial component and bike storage on the 1st floor.
