As mentioned, Jeanne Gang from Studio Gang had the structural columns (which were normally on the inside of the building like Waiea, Anaha, and Aeo) pushed to the exterior of the building. You can think of this as an exoskeleton of the building which also allows for more private lanais and a unique exterior facade.
Koula will have 8'8'' ceilings in most units and will have 10' ceilings in the Penthouse Units. The units in Koula will incorporate Miele appliances and will have natural earth tones with a slightly darker color scheme for the cabinets, countertops, and flooring. There will also be a furniture package designed by Yabu Pushelberg allowing owners to have their unit completely turn-key allowing them to simply move in with a toothbrush and a suitcase full of clothes.
Koula will have the entire 8th floor used as their amenity deck. It will be over an acre of amenities and feature a Great room and lanai designed by Yabu Pushelberg, lap swim pool, pool side cabanas, fitness center, outdoor dining pavilions, chef's kitchen, BBQ grills, sunset bar, kids play area, and a dog park on a separate level.
