Kahuina will be located in Kamehameha School's portion of Kakaako and will be done by local developer Stanford Carr (the developer of Keauhou Place). The project will be on a parcel just a little of 3 acres and will be bordered by Auahi, Cooke, Coral, and Pohukaina Street. Kahuina means "crossroads and intersections" and it is currently planned to have 60% of the building set aside for workforce and affordable housing. The artist renderings depict two separate towers and it was stated that the ground floor retail on the bottom will be approximately 35,000 sq. ft. The current plans are to start construction in late 2023 and they anticipate completion around summer of 2026.
