Alia in Kakaako | Now Selling

AliaĀlia is the 9th condo to come up in Kamehameha School's portion of Kakaako. The building will be done by The Kobayashi Group who has also done Hokua, One Ala Moana,  and Park Lane in Ala Moana.

The project will be on the front row of Kakaako and the parcel will be bordered by Ala Moana Blvd, Koula Street, and Auahi Street. The building's architect is WRNS STUDIO and the landscape architect will be Brownlie & Lee. The interior designer will be The Vanguard Theory. Alia will feature 411 residential market units and the developer has stated that there will be 40 units for reserved housing in the podium of the building below the amenity deck. The artist renderings show a slight change compared to the original plan rendering by Kamehameha Schools. The building will be slightly slanted, all units on the Diamond Head and Ocean side will have a lanai, and it will feature 3,500 sq. ft. of commercial retail space on the ground floor. Owner occupant sales start 1/27/23. Construction will start later in 2023.

Alia will be a 400-ft high rise and feature 411 units. The building will also tentatively set an additional 40 units underneath the amenity deck which will go towards reserved housing. The remaining units will be sold as market priced units. The building will have 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units and every market unit on the corners and Diamond Head/Ocean side will have a lanai. Each unit will have at least 1 parking stall but will have an option to purchase an additional stall. There will also be select combination units if a buyer would like an even larger unit.

Alia will typically have 13 units per floor and will alternate between an odd and even style floor plate. There will be two combination unit floor plans which will all the combination of the 00 and 01 units to make a large 2,795 or 2,837 sq ft 3-bed 3.5-bath unit. The second combination unit will be the 12 and 10 units to make a large 1,678 3-bed 3.5-bath unit. The way Alia is positioned will allow 8 of their 13 units to see beautiful ocean views. The odd floor units will be known as B-units where the units with lanais will be off of the bed room with the lanai entrance from the living room. The even floor units will be known as A-units and will have the lanai off the living room.

Alia - Amenities

The amenities at Alia will be spread out on the ground floor and the 6th floor of the building. Here you can find every amenity in your typical luxury condo. There will also be a few unique amenities such as a bowling alley, half basketball court, and boccee ball court. Most of the amenities will be set up on the ground floor; so if you are having friends or family over they can go straight to the amenities and not have to bother the residents or hog the elevators. Alia - Unit Features

Inside Alia you will find beautiful floor to ceiling windows, German Gaggenau luxury appliances in the kitchen, and very generous sized rooms. The floor plans are very functional and if you compare the floorplans with other buildings, you will see Alia's livingroom and bedrooms are more wide whereas other new buildings are long and narrow. The ceiling height at Alia is also much higher than other new buildings. Here you will have 9 ft ceilings up to floor 20. Then on floors 21-39 you will have 9.5 ft high ceilings. The units at Alia will also have lanais for all units except those on the Ewa/Mountain side of the building. This was strategically designed so that you could open the lanai door to allow for air circulation and to create a slight shadow overhang that will reduce the overall temperature while inside the unit.

Alia will be located at 888 Ala Moana Blvd on the Kamehameha School's portion of Kakaako (West of Ward Village). It will be in the "Our Kakaako" portion which houses SALT, Collection, and Keauhou Place. Alia will be located on a block bordered by Ala Moana Boulevard, Koula Street, and Auahi Street. This building will be just a short distance away to Downtown Honolulu, SALT, Ward Village, and Ala Moana.
