Ward Village Master Plan Community

Located in the urban core of Honolulu is Oahu's newest high-rise master planned community - Ward Village. Developed by the Howard Hughes Corporation, Ward Village is comprised of 60 acres highlighted in yellow shown on the picture above. The beauty of Ward Village is that it is a vertical master planned community. When people normally think of a master planned community it is very horizontal; (like in Mililani or Kapolei) and you still need to get into your car and drive in order to get to the grocery store or to go to a restaurant. At Ward Village you simple can go down your elevator and have everything at your fingertips. From shopping, dining, entertainment, parks, to the beach, everything is right there for you. Another benefit is that they focus from a micro perspective, pedestrian level and then upwards so that there are extra wide sidewalks, beautiful landscaping, and outdoor music speakers throughout the community. The neighborhood sidewalks are power-washed and there is a 24-hour security that patrols the neighborhood and is secured with cctv.
