Waiea

Waiea is Howard Hughes' first Project in Ward Village. This ultra-luxury building was designed by award winning architect James Cheng in collaboration with Rob Iopa and WCIT Architecture.

Waiea is the Hawaiian term for "water of life" and is reflected in the water-inspired glass facade and is meant to symbolize the importance of water in Hawaii's coastal landscape.

The wavy glass window facade is Waiea's signature feature.

Waiea's interior was designed by Ingrao Interiors. Waiea's ground floor porte cochere also showcases Tony Cragg's bronz art Versus statue. Award winning restaurant Nobu Honolulu is currently occupied on the ground floor of the building.

Residence Features

The building is a LEED certified building and features double glazed glass, central AC, LED lighting, and on-site security. The ceiling heights typically are 9'6'' in the tower and 10'6'' in the Villas and the Penthouses.

Hardwood and stone flooring provides an upscale accent. Onyx walls, toto toilets, and rain showers are installed in the bathrooms. The kitchen has polished-quartz countertops, Miele kitchen appliances, European cabinetry, wine refridgerators, and motorized window shades.

The building also includes concierge service, valet parking, on-site guest parking, and guest suites for visitors

There are a total of 12 penthouses and each have approximately 10'6'' high ceilings.

Some of the Penthouses have private elevators, depending on the penthouse. The grand penthouse even has its own personal swimming pool. 

The Amenity Deck

On the 7th floor, there is a deluxe fitness center with yoga room, resort style steam saunas and treatment rooms, a movie theater/performance room, chef kitchen, a library room, quiet lounges, golf simulator, infinity edge pool, hot tub, cabanas, children play area, and dog park.
