Ae'o is Howard Hughes' third project in Ward Village. The building was designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson (BCJ). The tower was completed in late 2018.

Ae'o in Hawaiian means Hawaiian Stilt Bird and this building pays honor to the Hawaii tradewinds.

The ground floor of Aeo has the Whole Foods Market, which is the largest Whole Foods store on the island. It also has Rinka (a Japanese restaurant) and a health clinic.

You will find engineered wood flooring throughout the living room and kitchens and premium wool carpet in the bedrooms. 

The bathrooms have polished-quartz counters, lighted mirrored vanity cabinets, and built in make up mirrors.
